I have the battle scars to prove it...
I finally got to do my timing belt this weekend. Nothing exciting but after I started taking it apart I realized it had never been done. It was supposed to be done at 60k, I got the car with 68k on it and I thought it had been done. I finally did it at 85k, 25k over. If it had broken the engine would have stopped and would have been destroyed. Its the nicest car Ive ever owned and Ive never owed so much money on something so I want to keep it as long as possible. Not only that Ive been to Florida and South Carolina a couple of times each with it. I cant imagine breaking down with this car in the middle of redneckville with anti-war and hippie stickers on it. I would have to have Chuck Norris-like skills to make it out of there alive. Anyway here is page six of my car page with one sexy picture of me in it. Check it out:

Sorry about all the lingo. Its so awesome my car starts now, it was kind of scary before. Plus not having to worry about my engine blowing up is cool. |

I would say..a man and his car, but I baby my car as well. My battery light came on and I lost power about a month ago. I knew immediately it was my alt. When I called the shop to tell them what was wrong they got defensive when I diagnosed the problem.(I guess cuz I'm a girl and how the hell would I know) I did the same thing about 5 years ago. I went to buy one from an auto parts store and the guy behind the counter yelled at me and said I shouldn't just buy random parts to try and fix what I don't know. What an asshole. |

NICE!!!! Love the sexy pic, and YAY for Pepe! He can go with no fear now. Awesome!! Hey, Java...I know your pain. I live in SC where it is a sin to be a girl working on a car, and actually know what the hell you are doing..LOL. Sometimes I have to assert myself to get any help at all from the parts counter people. It gets quite annoying...I prefer to buy online where my gender is unknown and I get exactly what I need.

Dude the intake was a little dirty...it's good you've finally got her fixed. Now we can go on that crime spree we've been talking about for the past year, travelling through the Northeast states with fifteen guns, two cases of JD and one tank of gas. After that I'm taking my cash to Seattle. |

He does like the warm weather. We have whats called "winter diesel" up here when its cold so it doesnt gel up. It makes less power and the best mileage for me on it was 46 mpg  When I was down in FL over the winter and got the good stuff my mileage went up to 51. I need to move there soon. |
